For the next few weeks, alongside my Women & Resilience series, I will be featuring some renowned personalities and practitioners who have made it their life’s ambition to make a difference in the world by using their skills to provide advice, support and mentoring in the fields of physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, life guidance, health, therapy and counselling. Join me in a series of in-depth video interviews as I ‘Meet The Mentor’ and have a personal taste of the support that they offer, plus find out all of the details that you need to know in order to access their services.
Following on from my interview with life coach Shefa Ali a couple of weeks ago, I sat with Rebekah, an incredibly inspirational entrepreneur who has made it her life’s mission to spread the word about veganism and the whole food plant-based diet, and how we can all save human and non-human lives through what we feed ourselves and our loved ones.
“Collaborating with Raw-ME Qatar has been the best thing that could have happened for Superheroes,” she told me. “It’s allowed us to swiftly move into previously untouchable areas. I feel blessed for finding such a wonderful partner.”
Meet the mentor: hear more about Rebekah’s vegan journey, why she thinks veganism is so important for our world and our future, her top tips for getting started and how to work with her by clicking the interview below:
If you watch the video, you will see just how compelling Rebekah’s pro-vegan arguments are and how eye-opening and life-changing some of the facts she has up her sleeve can be. We’ve had many conversations on the subject over the year or so that we’ve known each other, and tasting her incredible food made me realise something I hadn’t truly believed before – that it’s perfectly possible to eat wonderful, tasty food, much of which is amazingly healthy and simple to prepare, while reducing the negative effects we have on animals and the world and increasing environmental sustainability…is there anything not to love?!
Sadly, it took contracting cancer for me to finally wake up to the health implications of what I put on mine and my family’s plates, and to gain more perspective and compassion about our violence towards animals and our world. I feel incredibly blessed that I met Rebekah at just the right time and she’s been there to offer invaluable support and advice as I took the first tentative steps on my vegan journey.
At the time of writing it’s been ten days since I last consumed an animal product, and I’m hoping that I’ll never look back!
Please delve into the video to find out more – I promise that you will learn a thing or two…and if you would like to find out more about how to work with Rebekah, then please check out her Instagram, @superheroeseatplants or contact her via email at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
