Some family-arity

I’m currently cuddled up on the sofa watching a film with Rich and his dad, John.

This month has been all about the descent of the parents. My dad arrived first, taking a slight diversion en-route back to the UK from a business trip to the UAE. Next came Rich’s mum Christine for a week’s holiday in the sun. Now John is here for some joint birthday celebrations with Rich. And my lovely mummy arrives next week to complete the set. I can not wait.

I love having visitors, mainly because in showing off Qatar to an outsider who has never been here before, you get to experience things all over again with a new-found appreciation. But when it’s a family member, it’s extra special.

All parents came bearing lovely gifts from back home

And I’m pleased we’ve got over a week left before our last family member returns home.
